Online, using Zoom
Online Sessions: I offer online psychotherapy, counselling, and coaching with neurodivergent adults — people who are autistic, have ADHD, or AuDHD.
For Neurodivergent Adult Individuals My client group tends to be people in their 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s, who are professionals, medics, or business people. Or they are younger and currently at University. I think that is because throughout my life I’ve been in University a couple of times, and I’ve had businesses myself, and so can relate to the demands, stresses, aspirations, and benefits while in these situations. Moreover I strongly believe in neurodivergent people defining their own quality of life and exploring ‘the realistic how’ of getting and living that.
And For Couples I also see couples where one or more partners are neurodivergent, helping them understand and engage with one another about their lives in respectful ways that are useful and productive.
Late Identifed Autistic, or Diagnosed ADHD as an Adult.
Many people who come to see me have realised only as adults that they are neurodivergent. Initial relief at finally having explanations that fit can be followed by a period of reflection, as you begin to re-evaluate how you understand yourself, your past events, and your relationships and situations. For some people this can be experienced as stressful, or confusing.
Reviewing Self and Life Through a Neurodivergent Lens.
If you relate to that you might begin to look back at periods of depression and wonder: was that actually autistic burnout? You might see long-standing anxiety in a different light now - not something to push through, change, or suppress symptoms, but a signal from your nervous system that deserves attention with good reason (which we can figure out).
Making New Meanings. You might realise that past choices you made about the direction of your life including career and relationships, were made with incomplete information about what kind of person you are. Alternatively, you may be realising the way things went back then wasn’t optimal for what your own needs are or what’s actually supportive, safe, or inspiring for you.
A Newly Aligned Way of Living.
Our sessions can offer a space to explore these insights together. It’s not about dwelling in the past, but about making sense of your life in ways that are meaningful. Added insights can help you both today, and in moving forward and choosing to live in ways that are more aligned with who you are, what you need, and the kind of life that is safe, and feels right.
Relatable, Everyday, Talk.
My style is informal, warm and friendly and ultimately focused around lifes realities. It may feel sometimes that we are merely chatting, but I take your investment in our sessions very seriously and there’s always purpose to our talks. When we meet we can gauge the frequency of sessions that will best suit you by taking account of what is important to you about pacing, plus available budget and processing time that you realistically have. Weekly is not always best (but could be - we decide together).
I’m AuDHD myself, and am LGBTQ+ affirming, kink knowedgeable, and supportive of people with a variety of lifestyle choices and intimate connection relationship arrangements

Training and Qualifications.
Ive been seeing clients for over 25 years. In addition to formal University qualifications (MSc Psychotherapy, Post Grad Diploma Counselling, Diploma Counselling, Post Grad Certificate in Autism, Certificate in CBT). I’ve also studied Psychoanalysis, Narrative Therapy, Person Centred Counselling, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), and other Creative Therapies. Additionally I am a qualified trainer.
Professional Experience.
Along the way, I did psychiatric placements as well as worked with the NHS in primary care as a psychotherapist and a group psychotherapist. It was then that I took on the additional role of managing the waiting list and doing the intake assessments for the therapy service (when clients - patients - were referred into the therapy services via their GP). Due to the vast volume of doing intake interviews I had to establish a lot quickly - i.e. to be able to capture the essence of a clients issues and concerns.
What I Believe In.
This experience has been a contributor to forming the integrity that I carry now, and a strong assertion I hold, that therapy should prioritise concerns raised as defined by clients themselves (rather than re-interpret them), and then progress to deliver them. This is particularly relevant now that we know that counselling and therapy and other mental health services have not been appropriate, accessible, or always effective for autistic adults. Much published research has evidenced this, and many clients themselves do tell neuroaffirming therapists that this is their evaluation of previously having therapy. And that is not okay, so it is very important to me that clients are able to look back on their time in sessions with me and be glad that they did so.
