Farnham, Surrey UK and online
Queer, trans, autistic counsellor in Farnham, Surrey, working with 18+.
I see all ages but specialise in working with middle aged/older queer and trans people, particularly looking at post transition or later life issues, childhood abuse and neglect, inner child work, trans parents, hate crime and discrimination.
I enjoy working with queer performers (drag queens/kings/performers, queer comedians and others). I also work with many late diagnosed autistic adults facing burnout, unmasking and all emotions around autistic identity.
I also work with trans, queer and/or neurodivergent counsellors and trainees. I offer some free counselling too.
Like my business name, I work in an offbeat and often different way, utilising a lot of creative materials and visuals. I trained initially in play therapy so alongside integrative counselling (my main modality), I can bring in elements of play and creativity if that's something that suits you (it's also ok if it doesn't!)
I work in my own space; the Off Beat Community Hub. The space is designed with the queer/trans community in mind, with nods to queer history and community. There is a library of books you're welcome to borrow, a variety of seating options and thought put into the sensory environment.
I hold the following qualifications:
Certificate in Counselling Children in Schools
BSc (hons) multidisciplinary degree, with a focus on child psychology and counselling
CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
I am a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). My training was approved by the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I am fully qualified and insured.
