Online (in any US-based PsyPact state) and in-person in Arlington, Virginia, USA
My clients typically come to me in a state of chronic burnout, struggling to keep up with intense demands, extreme work schedules, and challenges in their relationships with themselves and those around them. Many deal with complex relational trauma and chronic health issues, along with a long list of co-occurring conditions stemming from under-supported or late identified Autism and/or ADHD.
Living in the DC Metro means encountering neurodivergent folks in large numbers. I offer support via therapy and diagnostic evaluations in Arlington, Virginia and online in all US PsyPact states.
I am a warm and authentic therapist who is fascinated by the patterns and interconnectedness of human beings in the universe. I discovered I was neurodivergent after living with chronic health issues and increasing burnout, and the life-changing impact that had on me continues to inspire intense learning and development in both myself and my clients. I value the insights gained through the work I do, and love working with clients who see the world in similarly interconnected ways. The neurodivergent brain works nicely with my contextual approach to the work I do as a psychologist.
I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland, training in a number of diverse treatment settings in Salt Lake City, Baltimore, Boston and DC before starting a group practice with my two colleagues in Arlington, Virginia in 2023. I have provided therapy and assessment services for over 9 years, and worked in mental healthcare since 2013.
I am fully licensed to practice psychology in Virginia and Washington, D.C. as well as maintain credentialing via PsyPact to provide telehealth services in all 40+ participating states.
I primarily utilize a contextual-behavioral approach in therapy (e.g, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy/ACT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy/DBT, Humanistic/person-centered, Existential, Psychodynamic, Trauma-informed approaches) attending to the individual's specific needs to develop a treatment plan.
My assessments are neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based, with a prioritization of actually-readable reports and a focus on providing a therapeutic experience to diagnosis and next steps.
