Carolyn Kempster (She/Her)

Where I work

Bletchley, Milton Keynes MK3; and online on Zoom

Who I Work With

I work with adult clients, and often work with late-identified autistic or AuDHD clients who have either just been diagnosed or are considering seeking a diagnosis. I also work with clients who have experienced trauma, especially interpersonal trauma such as coercive control, emotional abuse, sexual violence, and physical abuse, either as children or as adults.

About Me And How I Work

I work in a relational person-centred way, meaning that together we can explore what it is you have already tried and work out new ways forward. I don't set homework or direct you to talk about any topics in particular, instead I trust that offering an empathic, non-judgemental, safe and authentic relationship will help you in your process of healing, growth, and change. I am trauma-informed, meaning I can understand the ways in which trauma of all different types can affect people. I also practice in accordance with my values, working in an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, neurodiversity-affirming, and body-positive way.

Qualifications and Professional Background

I'm a registered member of BACP, having qualified with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2021. I have been seeing clients since the beginning of 2020. I am currently also competing my masters training, in the final months of a UKCP accredited MSc in Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy. I'm insured by Holistic Insurance and have a DBS.
